Our client, Quayport Trust are seeking an organised, and detail-oriented Client Accountant to join our team.
The role involves the preparation of Trust and Company accounts, assisting with financial reporting, audits, and day-to-day finance operations. The role will work independently but as part of a small Finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Trust and Company accounts
- Prepare management accounts and financial statements
- Maintaining records in order to deal with accounts filing deadlines for tax and other regulatory purposes
- Maintaining client case ledgers on a day-to-day basis to include double entry bookkeeping
- Meeting targets and deadlines regarding productivity and profitability
- Adopting a proactive approach regarding the implementation of new systems, procedures, standards, etc, to comply with internal and external requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. ACCA)
- Experience working within a client accounting role
- Experience preparing financial statements and management accounts
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Experience working with complex trust or fiduciary structures
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance frameworks
- Familiarity with audit processes and supporting external auditors
