Becky has worked locally in both the commercial and financial sectors since 2001 after qualifying under the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in Personnel Practice and later obtaining the Professional Development Certificate.
Since starting Focus in 2007 Becky has spearheaded many projects for her clients to lead them in achieving a pro-active and dynamic approach to their human resources strategies. Becky has a strong influence and is key in the integration of human resources processes into her client’s business goals, working with them to maximise their potential. Becky believes that effective HR practices are essential in the successful performance of any business.
A qualified PRISM Practitioner, Becky also works with clients using PRISM profiling to enhance employee performance, identify talent, encourage team building, resolve conflict and give 360 appraisals.
Outside of the office Becky enjoys spending time walking her two dogs with her husband and two children, entertaining family and friends. She also has a keen interest in interior design.
With more than 18 years of human resources management experience, Katie has tackled most scenarios, but is always ready for the next HR challenge. Since establishing Focus in 2007, Katie has enjoyed the variety that comes with the cross sector of clients she works with. With over a decade supporting the Focus HR client base, Katie’s forte is finding solutions to difficult employment related issues.
During her extensive career, Katie has advised clients on a range of strategic business issues outside of HR, including business development strategies, mergers and acquisitions and budgeting with a keen interest in assisting clients through periods of business development and growth.
Katie is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and was a panel member for the Guernsey Employment and Discrimination Tribunal Service for five years. Katie is also a previous recipient of the Guernsey branch of the CIPD ‘HR Star of the Year’.
Katie enjoys holidaying with her husband and their young daughter, as well as wining and dining with family and friends.
HR & Payroll Officer
Rachel joined the team at Focus HR in 2018 bringing with her eight years of administration, payroll and management experience in the commercial sector. Her role at Focus as HR & Payroll Officer is based over both service sectors of the company, processing client payroll and supporting clients and the Directors in all things HR.
Rachel particularly enjoys managing client recruitment projects which she has taken key responsibility for since joining as well as supporting with employment relation meetings and investigations. Keen to continue expanding her knowledge and skillset, Rachel enjoys attending employment related seminars and legal updates.
During her spare time Rachel can be found diving, reading, listening to music or spending time with her two children and their dog.
Payroll & Administration Officer
Angela brings a wealth of general knowledge to the Focus team from a background in HR stretching back forty years. During her time at Focus, Angela’s pedantic traits have been channelled into devising routines and checklists to ensure the continuing success of the monthly payroll processes. Angela has built up a great reputation with our clients resulting in a comprehensive payroll service delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
Angela enjoys local beaches especially sea swimming, and also pretends that she’s an artist; but her very favourite pastime is correctly answering more University Challenge questions than her husband!
