Guernsey Finance – Market Development Executive

Our client, Guernsey Finance are looking for a Market Development Executive to promote and connect Guernsey as a leading finance centre in its chosen markets.

Introduction
The Market Development Executive provide s operational, coordination and administrative support to the Market Development function, enabling Market Development Representatives to connect, promote and position Guernsey effectively across priority international markets.

Reporting to the Market Development Lead of Guernsey Finance. This role involves a strong focus on organisation, stakeholder coordination, systems management and event support.

Core responsibilities
Market Development support and coordination

  • Act as a central coordination point for Market Development activity, supporting alignment between Market Development Representatives and the Market Development Lead.
  • Maintain the annual Market Development calendar and support the coordination of meetings, appointments and activity schedules.
  • Support the implementation of Guernsey Finance’s market development strategy by reviewing how roadshows and events align with agreed plans, identifying opportunities for integration and improvement.
  • Act as a liaison between representatives and the Market Development Lead, communicating feedback and supporting alignment across activity.
  • Attend industry meetings, networking events and internal meetings in a supporting capacity, as required.

Administration, systems and reporting

  • Maintain and update global contacts and records within the CRM system, including uploading new contacts and meeting notes.
  • Support project management and tasks, ensuring actions are logged, tracked and completed.
  • Extract CRM data and figures to support quarterly Board reporting.
  • Compile agendas, prepare minutes and provide note -taking support for Market Development meetings and steering groups.
  • Maintain accurate records using SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
  • Manage daily correspondence relating to Market Development activity, ensuring a professional, responsive and personal approach.

Financial and budget support

  • Support the monitoring and reporting of the agreed Market Development budget.
  • Assist with the processing and preparation of Market Development expense claims in line with GF
    procedures, working with the Market Development Assistant and Senior Management as required

Roadshows and events support

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of roadshows, third -party conferences and Market Development events.
  • Support the organisation of roundtable dinners, meetings and event attendance.
  • Manage event attendee responses and maintain accurate attendance records.
  • Liaise with the marketing team to support social media, presentations, mailers and event-related communications.
  • Order marketing literature and promotional materials as required.
  • Design and create microsite content or web pages to support roadshows and events.
  • Attend roadshows and events in Guernsey or overseas when required, with travel agreed in advance.

Stakeholder liaison

  • Act as a key coordination point for correspondence and interaction with external stakeholders, ensuring a personal and professional approach.
  • Support collaboration between the Market Development, Marketing and Communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and effective promotion of activity.

Skills, experience and behaviours

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately and efficiently.
  • High attention to detail and strong administrative capability.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems, data and reporting tools.
  • Proactive, reliable and able to work independently while supporting a wider team.
  • Discretion and sound judgement when handling sensitive information.
  • Familiarity with data protection principles would be an advantage

  • 27 days’ holiday plus one extra day per year for each full year worked (up to 30 days)

Guernsey Finance are offering this role as a 35 hour working week.
