Our client, Guernsey Finance are looking for a Business Support Executive to promote and connect Guernsey as a leading finance centre in its chosen markets.
Introduction
This role plays a central part in ensuring the Guernsey Finance office runs smoothly, efficiently, and with pride. By providing high-quality business support and overseeing day-to-day office operations, the postholder enables colleagues to focus on their core responsibilities while helping foster a positive, well organised, and collaborative workplace culture.
Core responsibilities
The role will work closely with the wider senior team and the EA to the CEO to provide general administrative and office support. This will include, but is not limited to:
Office management and workplace culture
- Take ownership of the day-to-day management of the office, ensuring it is clean, tidy, well organised, fully stocked, and presented to a high professional standard at all times.
- Create a welcoming and well-managed office environment for staff, visitors, and external stakeholders, including greeting visitors and supporting meetings and events.
- Order and maintain office and stationery supplies, manage storage areas, and ensure facilities and equipment meet business needs.
- Liaise with building contractors and service providers, including cleaners, to ensure maintenance issues are addressed promptly and effectively, and to coordinate annual maintenance requirements such as fire extinguisher servicing and PAT testing.
- Support the preparation of the boardroom and wider office for Board meetings and external events.
- Act as a positive cultural presence within the office, helping bring teams together and contributing to a collaborative and supportive working environment.
IT and systems support
- Act as the day-to-day liaison with Guernsey Finance’s third-party IT support provider, attending quarterly and ad-hoc meetings to ensure contractual obligations and business needs are met.
- Support staff with day-to-day IT needs, including hardware, software, and access requirements, in line with organisational policies and procedures.
- Oversee the office printer contracts and maintenance.
- Maintain IT asset registers and support compliance with internal IT and information security policies.
- Assist with the coordination of cyber security awareness and risk training for staff, working with internal and external providers as required.
- Manage telecommunications services, including phones and internet provision, ensuring effective operation and coordination with service providers.
Travel and logistics
- Coordinate staff and Director travel, including booking flights, accommodation, airport transfers, and travel visas.
- Collate and prepare senior director travel packs and ensure travel details are accurately recorded in staff Outlook calendars.
- Maintain accurate records of business travel, including updating People HR and the wider travel planner, tracking travel costs, and maintaining the travel costs and emissions spreadsheet.
Administrative and business support
- Provide general administrative support, including processing credit card expenses, preparing invoices for digital signature, and managing the general “info” inbox daily.
- Open and distribute incoming mail and support CRM data input as required.
- Provide administrative support to other operational teams where needed and approved by the Line Manager

Guernsey Finance are happy to consider anything from 25 hours (absolute minimum) – They are flexible on working hours but it is essential that the person is in the office every week day.
