FNBIT – Trust Officer

Our client, FNBIT are looking for a Trust Officer to manage the provision of an efficient and professional service to a Portfolio of Companies and Trusts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of administrative and clerical duties within a team of Trust and Company Administrators, ensuring that agreed service levels and business standards are met.
  • Accurately record time spent on individual cases ensuring that targets are met when reasonably possible.
  • Processing of distrubtions, payments and asset transfers.
  • Maintain close professional relationship with selected clients and intermediaries ensuring that opportunities for business development are identified and communicated to senior staff.
  • Monitor and maintain good business practice and regulatory compliance throughout the Trust Administration team.
  • Review investment and financial reports for approval by the Managers and/or Directors within agreed timescales.
  • Identify and review internal procedures in conjunction with the Managers, and promoting the internal and external standards demanded of the business.
  • Ensure proper governance and internal controls.
  • Any other role or duty appropriate to the nature and level of responsibility of the role.
  • Adhering to best practice
  • Maintain confidentiality and etical conduct
  • Undertake at least 20 hours Continuing Professional Development activity per annum and maintain evidence thereof.

The ideal candidate should have a good and continually developing knowledge of the fiduciary services offered by the Company.  They should be qualified or close to completing a professional qualification (e.g. STEP Diploma or other NVQ4 or higher) and have at least five years’ experience in fiduciary services.  They should be self-motivated and committed to business excellence.

  • Willingness and ability to supervise staff and assist with their development
  • Undertaking professional qualifications
