Becky Machon

Consultant

Becky, co-founder and manager of the Focus Group, has proven experience and success in assisting in the redesign and implementation of strategic plans for a range of businesses. This has included the introduction and assessment of vision and values documentation, board evaluation and corporate structure.

Becky uses her HR experience to align company vision and values with business and people strategies, ensuring the long-term success of the business model.

With a conceptual and innovative approach, Becky calls on a wealth of knowledge and exposure, to provide educated and informed solutions for her clients. At board level, she has been involved with strategic initiatives retaining the utmost discretion, whilst also remaining personable and ensuring clients’ best interests are always at the forefront.

Katie Bellingham

Consultant

Katie excels at problem solving, within small businesses, independent orgainsations and large corporations. Having worked with clients to identify their business needs and then create strategic and sustained plans, Katie has developed the ability to evaluate problems down to the smallest detail, allowing for a holistic approach.

A trusted advisor and confidant, Katie is never shy of a challenge. Her key skill is in business sustainability having worked with clients to review their current activity and then helped to secure their success for the future by advising on marketing strategies, employee incentive plans, resourcing needs and finance.

As the co-owner and manager of the Focus Group and a non-executive director, Katie brings genuine experiences of the challenges and potential pitfalls of running a business based in the Channel Islands and an ever-changing environment.

Gemma Long

Consultant

Gemma Long, of Gem PR & Media, is a public relations B2B and B2C specialist.

The former journalist and news editor established Gem PR & Media Limited, in the Channel Islands in 2013, to combat the misconception that ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to client servicing and relations.

Gemma has spent more than a decade immersed in news, PR and media consultancy in countries that include the UK, USA and Australia. Her strength lies in her ability to build strong and long-lasting relationships with clients and media organisations. Her network of media contacts in the Channel Islands and further afield is hard to beat.

She has up-to-date knowledge and experience in supporting start-up companies to establish brand recognition and reputation, developing relationships between clients and key media, crisis communications on an international scale, campaign management and negotiation of media buying and editorial support for print, radio, television and online.

Gemma offers competitive rates because she has designed and established a successful business model suited to delivering anything from ad-hoc project work to annual campaigns for retained clients.

Gemma has a BA (Hons) in Journalism from the University of Lincoln, a MA in Journalism and International Relations from Bond University, Australia, the Press Association Diploma in Journalism and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Diploma.
